The<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Workers\u2019 Compensation<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Board<\/span>\u00a0of British Columbia o\/a WorkSafeBC<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(<\/span>WSBC<\/span>)\u00a0<\/span>is a neutral body\u00a0<\/span>that administers<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>Workers\u2019 Compensation Act<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in British Columbia<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0The\u00a0<\/span>WSBC<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is responsible for making claim benefit decisions related to the workplace through the assessment of facts and application of legislation and policy. Furthermore<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>WSBC\u00a0<\/span>provides no-fault liability insurance and workers\u2019 compensation to\u00a0<\/span>British Columbia<\/span>\u2019s workplaces.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Employer Responsibilities Under\u00a0<\/span><\/b>the Workers\u2019 Compensation Act<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>Workers\u2019 Compensation Act<\/span>\u00a0is a provincial legislation that regulates the\u00a0<\/span>workers\u2019 compensation system<\/span>. In addition, the Act sets the standard for the assistance that employees receive from a\u00a0<\/span>workplace accident<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Specifically<\/span>, employers<\/span>\u00a0have the responsibility to:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
