Employers are required by law to conduct risk assessments to ensure workplace safety. These in-depth examinations help in identification of hazards so they can either be eliminated or minimized using control measures.<\/p>\n<p>In Alberta, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) officers have the authority to conduct inspections in provincially regulated workplaces and hold these companies responsible for complying with the <a href=\"https:\/\/new.healthandsafetyhelp.ca\/ab\/employer-advice\/occupational-health-and-safety-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OHSA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>How are workplace inspections typically conducted?<\/h2>\n<p>Workplace inspections conducted by the OHS officers are typically done without notice.
